I've always been active and worked out (cardio, easy weight training) because i've played soccer for the past 18 years. However, it wasn't until I gained a lot of weight and allowed my health to decline in my early twenties that I finally turned things around. I was in a relationship and our life together did not include working out, eating clean, or being very active. Although this was noone's fault but my own, I ended the relationship, got in the gym, dropped my weight, and unintentionally motivated my friends and family to make similar changes. After I graduated college, I knew I wanted to help others make the same changes as I did so I enrolled at NPTI. During my time there, my eyes were opened to the world of bodybuilding/figure/fitness competitions and it's been a dream ever since.
*Update* Became a member of the dreambodies.net team and am looking forward to my transformation with the help of Tony!!!
Why I Love It:
How can you not love it?! It is a very important part of my life. It's a great feeling knowing that your pushing yourself to become better. It's wonderful when other people notice your own personal accomplishments and seek your guidance to create their own.
How I Stay Motivated:
Easy, I remember how unhappy I was when I did not respect what God has given me. My body is my gift and i'm going to take care of it.
But, yes I do slip at times, rarely, but in order to stay motivated for my upcoming competition, the background on my phone is a picture of what I want to look like. Also, I always have the newest Oxygen and MF Hers magazine with me. Just looking at the cover will strengthen my motivation
