Brandon O, you bring up some interesting points. Just want to make sure you understand that before I posted the thread, I spoke with Mark Rippetoe via phone and he read the entire writeup.

I just wanted to say that your SS writeup is gret and it really helped me to figure out where I needed to be heading when I first started (especially the nutrition sections). Thanks.

Hey -- I can't be arsed to make an account here, but I wanted to make a few corrections to your SS writeup involving the power clean section. To wit: SS is not written solely for coaches; power cleans are an integral part of the program; the row does not fulfill the same requirements; the PC can usually be learned adequately for these purposes from a book; and it is both possible and sometimes beneficial to lower rather than drop your power cleans. Drop me a line if you want to argue.

Hmm, misread your "gray" as "gay" hence the overly-hostile response. I still think you could have refrained from posting but I apologize for lashing out (I have a problem with homophobes).

No, you're absolutely right. You could have kept your trap shut rather than posting a useless, ****-filled response that makes you look like a snotty assipe. G'day :)

Hey man, thanks for making the huge write up on Starting Strength. I've never been serious about weightlifting before but I've been on the program for 6 weeks now and am seeing some decent results. Can't wait to continue doing the program and getting bigger and stronger.

I just wanted to thank you alot for posting your article "Guide To Novice Barbell Training". It completely took away any questions or confusion I had on the program. I just started it on Friday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! P.S. You're funny as hell too. Ever thought about a career in comedy?
