cmajetsfan I would like to thank you for the breakdown of ripptoes starting strength. I am 2828 6'2 217 and flabby. I got lazy after being athletic in high school. I thought my slapped togerher routine was great but it was crap! I have followed program for only a week but fell in love with it after first workout. Without your article i would still be a guy trying to look cool at gym.lol. Thank you for giving me building blocks! Jan 24, 2012 2:15pm

guest Really looking for an answer to taht question above, if you can. In research, I found that if you do squats like you recoomend as in really low, ass to grass is what I do, that theres a massive increase in glute recruitment in the squat, so only one set of deadlift is necessary to train both glutes and quads properly. Is this correct. Any help much appreciated, greeting from Ireland, Daz Apr 13, 2010 6:09am

guest Hi, Just a quick question in relation to your mark ripptoe starting strength thread, if you dont mind, Why are the deadlifts only 1x5 and not 3x5 like all other exercises. Ive a;ways done my deads in the same reps as my squats or bench ir whatever. Why less sets of deadlifts?? Thanks for all the other info ive read from your posts!! Apr 10, 2010 9:40pm

guest good day sir. i've read the stalling resetting article but need clarification on one thing. what do you mean by resetting. per your example re: deadlift 250x5/3/3, when you reset does that mean you go back to 245? sorry for the noob question but it's pretty hard to order/avail of the SS book from where i'm from @_@ i would really appreciate your reply sir. good day yet again.
