Feb, 2006
How I Started:
I have been an athlete my entire life until I graduated college. Then I began a time consuming carer and due to time restraints and such I stopped working out altogether. I woke up one day and looked in the mirror and realized that I needed to make my health a priority once again. I have set new goals and aim to achieve them.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because I know it takes a certain amount of self discipline that most people don't have.
It sets me apart from everyone else. Plus I love to get a great pump and that adrenaline rush. The average person does not realize the commitment to diet, training, and overall self sacrifice one must make every single day to see results. That's why most people are fat and out of shape in America. I love breaking the stereo type of being a dumb bodybuilder, I now have people asking me about nutrition and exercise routines as well as training tips. The truth is average people cant commit to what it takes to get in and stay in shape. But if you are reading this you are not average are you?
How I Stay Motivated:
I love to see the hard work pay off. The changes I have made inspire me to work harder each and every day. I look at other people in the gym who have better physics and they motivate me to continue to learn and grow, I love to see other people working there butt off in the gym. They motivate me to work that much harder myself. So thank you to all the gym rats out there who inspire me to better myself. I am also here to find inspiration among peers so feel free to comment or drop me a hello. It's amazing
how many people I have know (Family and friends) that are out of shape who seem to want to see me fail. It seems people become envious and since they don't have the ability to commit they don't want to see you succeed because it reminds them of their failures. That's why you have to be first and foremost SELF MOTIVATED!!! It's all about me, myself and I. Meaning you have to look in the mirror every day and be happy with who is looking back at you. You must be able to look at yourself and know you did your best. If you did then it doesn't matter who or what happened you can keep your head held high with PRIDE!
BB Accomplishments:
Dropped over 65lbs in less that eight months. Achieved my goal to get under 225lb so that I can go sky diving! At age thirty I am in the best cardio-vascular shape of my life.

This was taken when I was first starting out. I was 275 pounds with too much bodyfat. I felt terrible and decided to make a change. I cant believe how I let myself go. I had been an athlete my entire life playing high school and college football, LAX, and soccer. I finished college and...
I would like to gain some mass and weigh between 220lbs to 225lbs with less than 12% body fat.
Goal (Long):
After dropping 65lbs of fat I now want to gain some size and strength without adding a lot of fat to my frame. I would love to fill out my overall body and bulk up a little and have a six pack on my abs to go with the new size. I am going to attempt to achieve this in 6 months time. Any positive suggestions or advice is always welcome.
I have been working out 6 days a week for the past two years. General workouts take about 2 and a half to three hours. (cardio included) at first i needed to drop fat--so cardio was key. I would run 12 miles per day or jump rope an hour straight after weight training. I went from 280lbs to...
Monday - Chest and Triceps(45 to 60 min workout)
(One Mile Warm-up on the treadmill)
Incline Bench press 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps

Bench Press 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps
Dumbbell Fly’s 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps
Cable Fly’s 3 sets of 8 to...
don't be too frustrated. If you have to plateau at something, you're in a good spot to plateau at. I sure would be darn happy to look as good as yo do! :-)

I use Banana Boat with the turn dial that lets you pick the shade. It also has lotion in it. I tried a bunch of them, and I like this one the best on my Irish white skin!!
Thanks for all the kind words! I do eat healthy all year..I make it like food as fuel and no thought to it. The tan is from a bottle btw...no more major sun for me! Wanna have good skin:)
:) I would think you'd want to be trained by someone who had LESS emergency rides than me. :) One of the highest adrenalin feelings in the first time you pull the ripcord on your own and land under your own power vs a jumpmaster.
Hey there ... I managed to take enough skydiving lessons to get certified and have my own gear ... and have 1 too many emergency parachute rides 'cuz I cut away my main parachute for my liking so I'm not doing it anymore. It is a blast though, especially in the winter here in the PNW when the pilot calmly mentions it's 50 degrees below zero w/o the windchill factor of a 120 mph wind. You DO wear longjohns when jumping then. :)
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I do pretty good on my diet and I keep track of everything. Maybe all I need is more patience. BTW, great transformation!
