How I Started:
I took a "women on weights" class at our local YMCA about 7 yrs ago.
Why I Love It:
I love how it helps me feel energetic, strong & gives me confidence. It helps me stay focused with everyday life. When I lift, it also helps me to eat better.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's been superhard over the last 3 yrs. I went thru a divorce, I'm raising 3 active teen-agers, I work part-time & attend school full time. Last winter, my 17 yr old son was diagnosed with testicular cancer & is now doing great but dealing with all these curve balls is making it extremely difficult for me to find time to get to the gym. I visit Bodybuilding.com b/c people like bbdiesel, xercise girl & chickentuna are great motivators so that one of these days, I'll jump on the train with them & never look back!!
BB Accomplishments:
3 yrs ago, just before my life made all these crazy turns, I was lifting & doing cardio consistently. I was literally in the best shape of my life & I felt fantastic! My bf was 14% & I weighed around 124. That is my goal to once again regain that.

I finally got to the gym tonight. This week, I'm starting out w/ warm up lifts & tweeking my program. Next week, I'll hit it hard! That's what I'm talking about.

Well I'm in Florida so warm weather never really leaves for long. But now its raining a lot because its the beginning of spring. I'm on it really hard because i'm 8 weeks out from my next goal, getting to the beach shirtless, getting under 200lbs and under 10% bodyfat. I'm cutting sugar and bread from my diet with carbs coming only from fruit. Tough task but i'll do it.
