How I Started:
As a child I was always involved in activities - dance, cheerleading, track...but then got lazy during the teen years. I picked up hitting the gym hardcore around December 2008. I've lost about 10lbs since January and consider my health as one of my top values. I had ten sessions with my personal trainer friend in January...that set me on track toward continuing what we accomplished and making positive improvements each day!!!
Why I Love It:
I have so much energy and it's easier to sleep at night if I wear myself out during the day! Just kidding, it makes me feel good to feel the pump of adrenaline and dopamine during and after my workouts. It feels great to accomplish feats I didn't think I could do previously. I believe in self improvement of both the mind and the body.
How I Stay Motivated:
I read every womens' fitness-related magazine that is published each month. I help encourage my friends to remain motivated by leading by example. It also helps to have a significant other who is just as passionate about self-improvement as I am. A lot of my friends are personal trainers and chefs. My biggest motivation is my desire to improve my physical appearance, thus improving my self-esteem.

Goal (Long):
My self-esteem was always low growing up. Being a female, having a presentable physique is important to me. My weight is in a comfortable range at the moment. My muscles are continuing to get more toned. My strength is improving. My body fat percentage is going down. I am feeling good about my progress. Like I said, I'm happy weight-wise, but most of all I would like to see my body fat percentage go down, my strength increase even more, and to be able to see my abs under the last remaining layer of fat around my midsection.
