Overall Goal: winning my division at 2009 S.E.GA Strongest Man this year in october- with the strength of a powerlifter, the look of a bodybuilder, and the confidence of a big monster in a little 8-sided cage!!

When I Started:
Jul, 1984
How I Started:
I became interested in combative arts in high school. I started weight training to build mass and real world power that could be applied hand to hand.
Why I Love It:
I love to sweat,i love the simple acts of pulling on my gloves and weighting the bar, i love the next day ache and the cramps and the nausea from doing giant sets of squats, curls and deadlifts- i love the pump i get when i leave the gym, the crazy looks i get from "normal" people who cant comprehend running 12 miles in a day for no reason at all...i love being mistaken for someone 14 years younger, but most of all- the feeling that 99% of all other humans CANNOT or WILL NOT work the way i do.
How I Stay Motivated:
believe it or not, female gym nuts and fitness fanatics inspire me more than Arnold or any other guy could. when i see a woman all pumped and in phenomenal shape, it tells me that here is a creature who crafted a beautiful body through hard work and perseverance WITHOUT the benefit of the natural testosterone i have- thus leaving me no excuse not to do the same thing.
BB Accomplishments:
Silver in middleweight division of 2008 Southeast Georgia Strongest Man.
Im an off-duty superhero, dont have time for BBA's!

Goal (Long):
I just want to get and keep that classic spiderman build- bulky enough to get your attention, but still flexible enough to dance and not look like a gorilla with a hangnail!
Seriously, i always strive to be the perfect example of the synthesis of speed and power.
He's still a monster! at an age when a lot of guys are just putting along, surviving instead of LIVING. Plus, i never wanna get to where all i can do is cardio...Its nice to see evidence that my love affair with iron doesnt have to end anytime soon.
How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
i usually dont rest. i recover while doing another exercise. it tricks my body into working while under stress. makes me stronger and builds SUSTAINABLE power working out without a true rest period. for those exercises where i have to truly rest, its usually 20 seconds at best. this method also gives me twice the workout in half the time in the gym!i usually dont rest. i recover while doing another exercise. it tricks my body into working while under stress. makes me stronger and builds SUSTAINABLE power working out without a true rest period. f...more
I am two weeks into my first heavy duty training cycle in more than 6 months. After fracturing a finger and dealing with a chest compression injury last winter while grappling, i tapered off my weight training and began to focus more on cardio and diet while i healed. In truth, the sparring...
