I was a tubby. Topped out at 230, dropped to 207 pretty easily w/ Body for Life; struggled down to 172 with carb cycling, strict calories/macros, HIIT & weights....became a total pansy last year and quit working out so I became skinny fat at the same weight. Now I'm back in the gym, up to 176-180 at 23-24% body fat and keeping the calories clean.
Why I Love It:
I have a pretty intense job and at the end of a day the gym is my way of leaving it all behind me. Physical exhaustion trumps emotional everytime.
How I Stay Motivated:
Again, the job. I'm consistently reminded of how short & precious life is; seeing that up close pushes me to live my life strong and healthy.
BB Accomplishments:
I've lost 50 pounds and more than 10% body fat....its a start.

So, instead of busting through P90X as I'd planned, Doctor said it was time to do a little bit of surgery. That all went fine but I'm so excited to be able to get back in the gym!! I'm going to St Thomas the first week in November so I'll use the next two months to build on where I'm at and do P90X this winter. Per my calipers, I'm sitting about 23% bodyfat right now. I will be down to 20% by the time I leave with 3 FBW/week, a bit of HIIT and consistency with my diet.
I've got a case of the jimmy legs....it's fun! Just got back from my workout, always a good time. I'm going to change up my diet a little bit just to see what happens. Another site I checked out calculated my BMR w/ activity level as 2400 cals per day not including workout calories and lose...
i just wanted to say hi and to say you look in great shape

Congrats to you Kacy. I believe you have found the "purpose" that will drive you to your dreams and goals. As I am doing in my own life, by putting my self on this site to my e-mail and facebook of friends and family. For the reason why is to "accountability" that others can help keep from making "excuses" and keep me honest to myself and my dreams.
