My older stepbrothers had home weights and lifted with great intensity and I'd watch them and even try to spot for them when I was in grade school, when I got into puberty it seemed natural to start lifting. Have always loved doing sports and being in shape, working up a drenching sweat is still the greatest feeling in the world.
Why I Love It:
The human body represents the most natural art form in all the world, and we each have the privilege of owning one. We're the artists, our bodies are the medium.
How I Stay Motivated:
That's like asking how you stay motivated to eat or to breathe. Our bodies were designed over mellennium to move, to run, to jump, to lift, to overcome physical constraints. It's in our DNA, it's our nature. To deny ourselves physical activity is to deny ourselves life.
BB Accomplishments:
Staying dedicated throughout life to sound physical shape and good nutrition.
Going to LA in a few weeks for some business meetings but also get to do a shoot at Ironman studios, I'm treating this like a contest prep to see what it's like dropping down to skin-thin BF levels. Using a fat burner, cutting down calories, hitting the gym hard, haven't measured but pretty...
Wow, that's incredible! I can't even imagine how much practice that must have taken to get them all coordinated with each other. Wish they would've had that at my school :)
John, obviously I couldn’t have missed on here. But hadn't taken the time to stop until now. I know what it take to get yourself in top condition, and to do at as we age demands even more internal drive and energy than when we were 30 for sure. However, your level of conditioning transcends age. Simply amazing and most certainly an inspiration for anyone...any age! Best of all, you believe this is not just for the select few bodybuilding athletes. Keep up that everyman philosophy! Troy
I had a good time at The O, with the exception of missing finals. I compete in my last local show this Saturday. Then, I won't be competiting until next July when I do my first national show. I am going for Top 5 because I have Arnold Amateur Ambitions for 2011! LOL!
I saw your avatar and stopped to say, "Hello". Did you attend The O. I had a fantastic time and I'm making plans for the Arnold, already! Have a great Friday--take care.

My BF has dropped, but the damage was done from all the beautiful kids I had. I weighed 209 with my first one and was big as a house. The skin is perma messed up in my stomach.
Thank you so much! I feel amazing, looking back now I really don't know how I could have let myself get to that point but what's done is done, just looking to the future now :)
For whatever reason I am hot and cold with working my abs. Lately I feel like I am doing it in vain,my skin there is way loose and I get down on myself.
