I've been a life long althlete and participated in high school and collegiate sports (track/corss country, volleyball, gynmastics, soccer, dance). After coaching track in '04 I joined 24Hr. Fitness in Houston to get back in shape, saw the physiques that trainer Jolene Carter
(www.jolenecarter.com) had worked with and wanted to look like them. She introduced me to figure competitions....the rest is history.
Why I Love It:
It's a great stress reliever. I enjoy the mental and physical discipline required to achieve the physique you desire.
How I Stay Motivated:
Constantly reassessing my goals and having something new to work toward. I am EASILY bored, so I find that I always have to challenge myself w/ new classes, workouts, new looks, etc.
BB Accomplishments:
Winning my very first show (NPC John Sherman Classic 11/04). Winning my first overall figure title (NPC Flex Wheeler Classic 7/08). Winning INBA Figure Olympia Title 11/08.
I had a 22lb rebound during the off season of 2006....oops!! Went from a size 2-4 (136lbs) to a 10-12 (158lbs)Had some nice hips, but the roll hanging over my pants was too big, so it had to go.(But man the food tasted so good!) :)

The importance of food journals is often underestimated. They are frequently dismissed as time consuming and pointless. Most effective trainers and nutritionists require clients to keep them for documentation purposes and to better assist in meeting desired goals. I think food journals are...
Alright I have a confession. I was addicted to your blogs and never viewed your progress pics before today. OK so its not a earth shattering confession..lol. The shoot with Eric James at Hart Park. Bakersfield, CA. where you are holding the sword is by far my favorite. To me it displays, strength, wisdom, and sex appeal all at once. Great shot shorty!
Peace!
Don't laugh!! I took a copy of my head shot and your "baddest check" body shot and glue it to my training notebook. Now, is that motivaton or what!?!?! I am claiming and naming 2010 to be a year like no other!! Time to shine
You look awesome, just been to your photos....you have a great physique. As for me being comfortable with my top off, it is still a work in progress!
Have a great day.
Yes, I live in Austin...thats great, you should make it back this way :) So you really think so? I would not even know where to start if I did something like that.
