When I Started:
How I Started:
I went to my little (well, he's not little...I guess you could say younger) brother's local Bodybuilding Competition. Women's Figure came on stage and I wanted know how these women looked like this and how they were training. A friend of mine who was into competing asked if I ever thought about doing it. I met the right people, got out of the gym mind set, and started pushing what I thought were my limits.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of strength and being able to lift a lot of weight. Not sure how I can do it sometimes...but it just happens! My body has always responded well to heavier weights and stress. Training teaches me discipline and keeps me focused.
How I Stay Motivated:
By remembering my goals and what I want. I listen to others that are experienced and humbly take in the recognition I receive from those who have noticed the change in my physique. Keeping others motivated and being an advocate for someone who is thinking about getting in shape also keeps me motivated...
"Discipline is remembering what you want."
"Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off your goals."
"Never be satisfied with what you achieve, because it all pales in comparison with what you are capable of doing in the future." -Rabbi Nochem Kaplan
"It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult. -Seneca"
BB Accomplishments:
My decreased body fat percentage and muscle/strength gains. Don't just train for a look! I've dead lifted 300 pounds and love to climb rope. I can do my chin ups and pull ups. I love being at the track and doing sprint workouts. True bodybuilding is all about being an athlete!

Train hard, focus, stay grounded, have faith, be patient, and believe in what you're trying to accomplish.
Goal (Long):
My ultimate goal is a never-ending quest (I really like that word...) towards a constantly changing and improving physique and strength levels. Whether it be for a contest, a competition, for my future career, or for myself, I stay focused on being lean and motivated. I've been training with kettle bells since June of 2008 and I can't believe how much stronger I am from those! My cardio endurance has increased immensely, particularly from the handful of ballistic movements that are required. I eat clean, whole foods (with some exceptions on the weekends!). I love my vegetables, whole grains, egg whites, and lean meats. I hardly eat red meat, I consume minimal dairy, no wheat products, and fried/processed junk foods aren't too appetizing. Ive been on Pro5 By Nutek, GL6 glutamine powder by VitaSport, and BCAAs by Optimum. Even though they've helped me immensely, I will not rely on my supplements to reach my goals!
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 15 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%
Upcoming Contest:
NPC Bodybuilding, Figure, & Bikini Championships

Being on stage (in that state of appearance, should I say) was probably the most daring and one of the most exciting things I've ever done. I'm looking forward to doing it again very soon.
Staying lean hasn't been difficult after contest. I've incorporated a lot of track work into my...
