How I Started:
Long story short, I decided to walk the Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60 mile walk to help women who are affected by breast cancer. I walked with one friend and we raised over 10K together. That jump started my motivation to stay in shape and be fit for my family. I added weight training and boot camps. Finally, I was looking for someone to guide me in nutrition and working out to my fullest potential. That is when I found Cathy Savage Fitness on-line and joined! I have been a Savage girl for one full year now! I feel better at 39 than I did at 29!!
Why I Love It:
It's something the entire family can participate in and I love seeing the results eating clean and working out hard can do.
How I Stay Motivated:
Competing and modeling help keep me in shape...along with staying healthy for my family and being active with them.
BB Accomplishments:
Placed 2nd in Masters and 3rd (open tall) in NPC shows and top 10 in bikini and competed in an INBF show. Fun to try different federations. Trying to find my place...LOL

Long term....I want to grace the cover of a fitness magazine promoting healthy women and fit moms!
To age gracefully and enjoy life with my family. To teach my children how to be athletic and feminine (well not my son...LOL) and to stay active and healthy for a lifetime. I like being fit for my husband! He puts up with me in competing mode...LOL and brings our children to each show! He's a saint and a great dad...I married my best friend...what else could a girl want?!!

Well I don't tell everyone around me, we all have different goals and I just try to achieve what is good for me. Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
pinched nerve in back...had to lay low and even see a chiropractor...seemed to get better.
Quite a few people have asked what I eat...I eat 5-6 smalls per day. I drink a gallon of water per day (crystal light). My snacks are really small meals....and I rotate my starches so every day is not the same.
I concentrate on my protein and my fats and good fats. There are not a lot...
