What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Be open to criticism, read, research and learn from those who have experience. Just because someone looks big and strong doesn't mean they're the best people to seek advice from. Don't be the person who acts like the gym owes them something for being there when you start to get good, and be willing to lend a hand to those who are newer than you.Be open to criticism, read, research and learn from those who have experience. What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Goofing off, and figuring I'd make progress by just being in the gym. Also sacrificing form for weight, which I never do anymore.
I didn't deserve to go out lastnight either but I did anyways after work...sober :) I battled the peer pressure lastnight haha. back to counting calories? i hate that part! bulking is just so much more fun..
no I'm at UNB, doing a BSc. Psychology and a biology minor. I'm second guessing though and if that's happening then something will likely change for next year. Too many decisions to make!
hey jord, my spring break didnt consist of any partying to be honest, pretty relaxing! training has been going well, still going hard :) how are things with you?
Training is going great. Nutrition...thats another thing. It's so hard to eat 5-6 times a day when I'm at school. If I could get my diet under control everything would be AWESOME. I know that my progress hit a wall because of it so i've gotta make some changes. I hate eating eggs and oatmeal, thats my whole problem!
I should come to your gym more often, its an awesome gym but then that screws up my training schedule because I train in the evenings in gagetown with two other girls, for FREE since im in the miltary lol. I'll try to get in though, the girls dont train on wednesdays so maybe i'll go then.
ahh might have missed it and chose sleeping instead haha. im hoping to be there tomorrow though, my body is so run down, taking a few days off from weight training but ill still go to spin class.
