How I Started:
I have played soccer all my life, and as a sophomore in high school I couldn't bench my own body weight (160 lbs). The next year I took a lifting class, and my bench got to 260.
Why I Love It:
two reasons really. 1) For personal gratification. To reach a certain lifting weight, or body weight. 2) For confidence, I like being able to take off my shirt and not be embarrassed.
How I Stay Motivated:
For awhile I wasn't. I was playing soccer and lifting at the same time, and it took alot out of me and it was a conflict of interest. Soccer I needed to be smaller, lifing I wanted to get bigger. So I quit lifting for a year and a half (til this past November) and now I stay motivated by just trying to reach my body's full capabilities.
Actually, my husband got a promotion which meant moving here. Before that we lived in a really small farming town that basically had a few restaurants (think McDonalds) and a Wal mart! Big, happy change for us!! We ate out the first 6 months we were here lol How was your weekend?

I decided not to compete and I started a workout clothing line to keep me busy. I am doing a fitness website that will launch soon that I hope will be fun and informative :)
thanks jt :) my eating habits are oatmeal, eggwhites, chicken, fish, veggies, and nuts.. the same stuff pretty much everyday but needing to eat more and more to maintain my weight.... no junk ever.. have been doing it for years now!
