When I Started:
Jan, 1990
How I Started:
While attending univeristy 18 years ago, one of my core requirements was to to take a physical education class. On the first day of class, I found out that I was the only science geek in the class which was made up mostly of the Marshall University football team. I had never lifted a weight in my life. I was intimidated, scared and expected to be made fun of and treated badly. I couldn't have been MORE WRONG. They took me under their wing, motivated me to do well in the class and inspired me to never give up and to never quit!. It was a life changing experience. After the class was over, I continued lifting and had an awesome workout buddy. He was a preacher, bodybuilder great friend and mentor. I will always be grateful to all of them and am forever a Marshall University Thundering Herd Fan. How lucky I was!!. From that point on, I made training a part of my life.
Why I Love It:
Love to keep in shape. Like seeing the results. Great stress reliever. Mind and body balance.
How I Stay Motivated:
After a long recovery from a back injury, I Changed my attitude from "why me" into "what am I" going to do about it. Once I put my mind to something I stick with it. Ask anyone who knows me.
My Life credos that I follow:
"Put out the good and it will return to you tenfold"
"Nothing good or bad Lasts forever"
"Do your best, because the best is all you can do"
BB Accomplishments:
Losing over 60 pounds so far....

Awesome Work!
I made it through a busy work week and the holidays. Did my lifting and cardio and stuck to my diet. Only lost 1 pound in a 2-week period. I blame that on the creatine and whey protein that I was taking. But on the upside, my new 36 waist jeans got too big on me. Maybe the conversion...
Thx man. You've done a good work too, its hard to recover from a back injury. Btw my belt looks like yours, had to make new holes, hehe, i should take a picture of it :)
Thanks for the encouragement! I am pushing hard with a complete diet change and hopefully will be getting into a gym soon where I can use some low impact equipment and really start pushing myself!! BTW, good job to you so far too!! Keep it up!!
