Personal Info And Background:
Real Name:
Sex: Male
Age: 36
Location: United States
Occupation: Sales
Personal Website:
Gym: My Garage - The Pavement - Hiking Trails
Gym Location:
When I Started: Jun, 2006
How I Started: I hit 255 lbs the summer of 05 and for me that was a dificult time as I had to face the fact that I was a disgusting pig. So I decided that I was going to lose the weight and get back into great shape.
Why I Love It: I like the results, the physical benefits of feeling better, sleeping better, everything better. I enjoy being physically capable of running 5 miles or performing in some physical capacity all day, hiking 10+ miles, etc. I enjoy physical challenges.
How I Stay Motivated: I have beautiful kids and I want them to see that its 'normal' for people to be fit, highly fit. One of the greatest tragedies is parents who rob their children of the one time in their lives when they are completely healthy and can enjoy being young, by raising obese children. I want my kids to be happy, healthy and fit.
BB Accomplishments: Body For Life Challenge, 12 weeks of diet, weights and cardio. Lost 35 lbs of fat and gained about 10 pounds of muscle. 5/2006 to 8/2006. Still cutting, growing.
Forum Signature: The healthy body is the guest chamber of the soul.

The sick, its prison.

Beauty and the Beast After completing 12 weeks of hell
This is me in my prime, about 255 pounds or about 50 pounds ago.  I took this photo after completing a 12 week Body for Life cycle. I am 215 pounds in this picture and have lost a solid 40 pounds from my peak, back in 2005.

I recently asked a friend to fabricate for me a large pull-up bar.  He made me a beauty.  It is very strong and the bar is the perfect width for my abnormally large hands.  It has become my favorite peice of workout equipment.  I decided to use it because I am always focussed on...

Lots of pushups, situps and pull-ups. I have a bowflex which I enjoy using for all kinds of cable-exersizes. Leg extensions (weighted of course), seated rows, lat pull downs. For a home gym you can't beat it. Of course I use dumbells and truth be known I prefer them for ease of use (no...

Awesome progress man! Similar story, peaked aroun 240lbs, down (now) to 195 but still around 15% bodyfat. Don't want to lose the muscle, but want to get by bf down to 10% (for now). Keep up the great work!

Hey man I am impressed with your progress. I am just beginning a program. I have lost 52 lbs(fat). I want to gain muscle. I am confused,I've read alot on BB but I am still as mixed up as a sinner in church. Do I do lots of sets, how many reps, heavy, light? I'm 51, and VERY MOTIVATED! I want to improve myself in as short a time as possible. I just read your Profile and see that you have done what I want to do. Lose and gain muscle. Thanks, and God Bless
