Day 1 @homeSo for the next 5-6 weeks I will be at home trying to maintain my fitness. Today I gave myself a semi-offday so I managed to see where my bench is at (205lbs x 2) and started practicing the Overhead Squat which I was doing 65lbs today. Every week I am going to try and add a bit more weight. I may do a short CrossFit style workout tonight but I am pretty motivated. 5/2 WOD Last WOD at Crossfit Hardcore "the brick" and here it is: 4 RFT - 400m run - 40 Kettlebell swings (53lbs) - 40 Situps - 40 Air Squats Took me 26:25 to complete and was so tired by the end but what a great workout. Give it a try and keep on training!
5/1 WOD Here was my first barbell complex WOD: - 5 Bear Complex (115lbs) - 15 Burpees - 10 CTB Pullups - 5 Bear Complex (115lbs) - 15 Burpees - 15 CTB Pullups - 5 Bear Complex (115lbs) - 15 Burpees - 20 Pullups This WOD took me 11:41 to complete, and boy was it insane. The RX weight was 135lbs for men and also instead of the 10 CTB Pullups you could replace with 5 Bar Muscle Ups, but I am still working those out so we'll see next time I try if I am ready to give it a go.... 4/26 WOD Today was more of a strength day geared towards deadlifts and your lower back: One rep Max Deadlift - 385lbs (New PR) 4 RFT - 5 DL (225lbs) - 10 Burpees - 15 Situps Did this one in 4:31.. an easy WOD but give it a go and keep on training!
4/25 WOD Today was quite the workout. Give it a shot: 5 RFT - 10 Man Makers (30lbs) - 20 Dubs - 10 Pullups - 20 Dubs - 10 Lunges (per leg) - 20 Dubs This workout took me 28:37 and there was a cap of 35min... Give it a try and keep on training!
4/24 WOD So today was a little WOD-wise. We did a couple "girls" for class, I only did 2. Here's what I did: - Grace @135 = 4:02 - Isabelle @95 = 3:22 Both of these are great CrossFit benchmark workout's. Go out and give it a try. and don't forget to Keep on training!
4/22 WOD Today's WOD was great: AMRAP 25 min - 5 OHS (135lbs) - 15 Pushups - 10 Box Jumps (24in) I managed to get through 13 rounds and 12 reps. My first 2 rounds I did 115lbs and after that decided to knock it down to 95lbs just because when it comes to overhead squats and me, the movement is still strange and awkward. Give this a try and keep on training!
