When I Started: Jan 2007
HOW I STARTED:

Just to pass time in order to stay out of trouble.

WHY I LOVE IT:

it gives me a feeling of self accomplishment every time i hit a new goal.

I guess it's only natural that noone seems to understand my recent declaration of my plans to compete. I've been the guy with the naturally decent looking body for a long time. I spent about 8 months going nuts on the weights when i was deployed last and gained about 40 pounds and went from okay to impressive. i feel like i'm short changing myself by doing the basic maintanance routine everyday. I need a challenge i need to feel like when i leave the gym i've made something happen in my body. i need a mass building workout that compares to what i did in iraq in 07. i guess i need to write some...

I find myself in a state of clarity today. For the first time since i grabbed my first dumbells, i have realized that i am the only constant in my regiment. I've changed gyms, routines, tactics, workout partners, supplements and even my perception of wrong and right gym etticate. Through it all the one thing that has stayed the same is me, i want to be big, strong and look good. I've been told that i have the potential and physical gifts to accomplish whatever i set my mind to. So i guess all that was missing was setting my mind to something.
