8 sets - 20 seconds of max reps, then 10 seconds of rest currently. It's my plateau busting program. I'll go back to 4 sets @ 6,6,8,12 next month.

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Thy guy that thinks everyone else cares about how much he can lift is most likely to get injured. They tend to be the people who try and lift more than they safely can, and they'll sacrifice form for big weight. Good luck with that.Thy guy that thinks everyone else cares about how much he can lift is most likely to get injured. Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I irritated my left shoulder. It seemed to take forever to get 'back to normal.' I used very light weights to work a full range of motion, and concentrated a lot more on warming up before lifting.
I recently had some problems with my rotator cuff, so after some time off working with a ph. therapist, I am now a weaker version of my former self, but feeling better, shoulder-wise. I found a lifting partner in the mean time, so my new lifting plan is:
1. Chest & Triceps
2. Legs
3. Cardio
4. Back & Biceps
5. Shoulders & Traps
6. Cardio
7. Rest
Moving to a rule of six for the winter. If I can do 7, it's not heavy enough. Trying to see some gains this winter. We'll see what happens. Cardio will be light, probably +/-...
The Lakeville Lifetime is close. Great gym. There are a few Snap and Anytime fitness's around as well. I also live in Farmington. Let me know if you want a guest pass to the Lifetime (I am a trainer there)
