How I Started:
I played football all through out high school and just a year in college at a small D 1AA school in Baltimore. I was an all-district player at D-line and O-line. I had offers to go to big division 1 schools (WAKE FOREST, MSU, Maryland, to name a few ) but at 5feet-10inches tall my dreams of playing big time college ball or in the NFL were cut short(politics lol). . Apparently I was not the prototype lineman in terms of height but don’t get me wrong if you really want some thing it’s there for you to have, football was just fun for me. I darn sure was the weight though at a whopping 320lbs. You maybe thinking there goes another meathead with tales of faded glory, well that’s not completely the story I left the game of football and went to art school. And that’s were my true story is, I love art and animation, I met my fiancé in art school and for the 1st time in my life I was truly happy with my the way things were going…one problem though…with out football keeping me “in shape” (keeping in minded I was a Lineman my whole career and nicked named “the rhino) I ballooned to 369lbs. I wasn’t happy with my self, so I joined a local Golds and dropped 60lbs. after about 2 years of art I needed a change and a challenge so I signed up for the army…well almost family was against it and family comes 1 st so I did the next best thing, I became a police officer, and it’s one hell of a fun ride right now. In the academy I went all the way down to 242lbs, I was in shape, but after a year of late night/ overnight shifts and 24 hour work days I’ve added some weight back to my frame..lol I feel like a yo yo, I’m at 275 right now, my goal , a reggie bush like 210lbs, gotta make swat in the next 2 years, so I have time …riiiighhttt

Yeah I have photos saved on my comp showing my weight at 215 and each week after that as the pounds shed. Looking back at them I didnt undrestand how big I actually was untill now! Good Luck to you too!
I don't doubt it man. It would be hard to see people in the condition and situations they are in, but bottom line, with very, very few exceptions they got themselves there. Doesn't mean they are throw away people that don't deserve a second chance, just means they might have to pay for what they did. Sucks, but you didn't make them do what they did. Keep strong, man.
