Until I was about 33 or 34 my body was naturally fit and I stayed around 125-135 without trying. My legs were very muscular and I went to the gym for fun an not because I had to. Now, at 39 and after 8 years of marriage and comfort, I've found that the "gravity thing" is true and it got me! I decided 2 years ago that I was going to take control when I became an NASM CPT but got another job offer that I could not turn down. Unfortunately, the job was very demanding and I only saw civilization about every 3rd day during Army training rotations. The living conditions and the lack of gym access during this time made it more than difficult to accomplish my goals. Now, I'm not working at all and I start to teach a Youth Fitness Training class in January so I NOW HAVE NO EXCUSES TO NOT GET TOTALLY FIT!!! Wish me Luck ;0
I read CC's profile one year ago exactly. Her courage and willpower as a single mom who recently suffered hardship to make the transformation that she did was more than impressive. She not only transformed her body, she transformed her life, her mind, and her daughters life. What a role model for her baby girl. She is certainly one to me. Even though I've fallen off the fit wagon due to my own personal hardships in the last year I'm back and she's still an ispiration to me more than ever!

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Improper form, too much weight, and trying to be explosive without proper progression to that stage of training. Lack of experience and knowledge.

gotta start somewhere. I've been struggling with my diet.. lots of friends coming to town this holiday season and going out constantly isnt helping. best of luck with getting back in it! its always good to have that fresh start feeling again. keep at it!

Yeah, I'm starting to see progress now. However, I have been slowed down due to a knee injury that is forcing me to lower my leg workouts. It's a little frustrating, but, I'll get it healed and be right back at it. How's working at the gym going?
