I started getting into better condition because of my lack of energy. Before I started working out and watching my diet it wouldn't have been uncommon to sleep nearly 15 hours out of the day. The sad thing was that even with that amount of sleep I'd still feel exhausted. So I figured out what needed to happen in order to fix my energy problem and I slowly began to implement a strategy. Ever since then I've been constantly re-evaluating my goals and setting milestones for my improvement. I'm getting better all the time and would someday like to help and inspire others to do the same.
Why I Love It:
I love it because it gives me something to have pride in, something that no matter where I'd go I could carry my success on my back (so to speak) and be able to give testimony to my achievements. It is also a great stress reliever and energy enhancer. My day goes better, I always carry a sense of accomplishment with me, and to tell the truth I can even sleep better now.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated because of a good friend (Mr. James) and through prior accomplishments. I can't even estimate the magnitude of having a great training partner, one that walks the same road that you do and desires the same things; someone who pushes you and is constantly by your side to get you to keep going. Find one of those and things get a lot easier. Also like I said before, prior accomplishments fuel the sense of pride and push you on. Momentum is a powerful thing but be careful because it works both ways. Saying stuff like, "I'll only watch ONE TV show before I workout" is like a blackhole. Once you sit down it's almost too late; your momentum comes to a halt and can almost go backwards drawing you away from what you really want. On the other hand saying, "I'll go down and workout for just 10 Minutes," is a great thing to do, because I've never worked out for just ten minutes. You get started and all of a sudden an hour's gone by and you're like, "Shit, where'd the time go!" Play mind games with yourself, make it fun!
BB Accomplishments:
My biggest accomplishment was being able to bench 250 pounds. Now I'm gunning for 300. I'm making small gains every week. I know I'll get there.

How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
Between 6 and 10
If I can do 10 reps for three sets in a row then I need to make the weight heavy enough that I can only do six reps for 3 sets. I keep moving up like that.
Had a blast at the Classic! Throughout the weekend I had the opportunity to meet five Mr. Olympias and had the luck to see many more from a distance. The highlight of my weekend was when my idol Franco Columbu was given his Lifetime Achievement Award! The whole weekend was a...
