When I Started:
Oct, 2008
How I Started:
Got sick of having no body shape. Being 6ft and skinny is not a good luck, so decided to change.
Why I Love It:
After a long day at work, it's great to spend time in the gym and forget about everything for 90minutes.
You feel better and it helps with the stress of everyday life!
How I Stay Motivated:
looking on bodybuilding.com and thinking if they can do it.....so can I.
Any ideas on gaining size, please get in contact, loads more i need to learn.
BB Accomplishments:
Putting on 'good' weight was 78kgs when I started now 86kg.
Being able to deadlift 360lbs, never thought for a second I would be able to do that.
Just got back from spending 4 hours at the hospital after falling on my knee and being in severe pain.
Typical of me I slipped on a wet floor and fell straight to my knees, with my left leg going in a direction it should be able to go. So this afternoon I've spent several hours in A&E...
Yeah I usually do 1 bodypart a day with legs being in between to give my upper body a rest. My meals are usually planned and set out during the day so I have to prepare them the night before. If you need anything just give me a yell.
Hey bro, thx for the comments! Training is great. Managing to train in the cage twice a week and get loads of sparring in. Also training weights/conditioning twice a week and will begin training in BJJ tiwce a week again soon! Pretty full on, but I love it! Also booked up to train in Thailand and Cambodia next June - cant wait! How about u? What kinda club u searching for?
Well my last goal was to reduce down to 155lbs, which I hit this Monday! So now my next task is to get to 165lbs (10lb up then 5lb off steps) but I'm at this crossroads because I want to play football and if I put too much weight on it will affect my game so it puts me at a cross roads. Eventually when I hang up my boots (I'm 29 in 2 weeks) my goal will be to get to 180lbs, baring in mind I'm fairly short that should look fairly ripped. What's your goal?
Yeah, the diet is where most of how you look ends up being at. It does get old after a while, but I find that there are quite a few healthy foods I enjoy, so it's not too bad. To adding size!!!
Yeah it's going well mate... just need to shed some bf but I also want to bulk up some... I'm at that cross roads bit... annoying. Glad to hear that you are back training after your injury, just try to take things slowly mate, don't want to rush things!
Hey Jono
How's it going mate? Hope you're making good progress.
Things are good my end, on a bulk at the mo to see me through past xmas. Making some good gains, but as per isn't as quickly as I'd like.
Keep it going mate
Did you check out my blog with my off season diet? take the creatine after working out to assist in recovery. Look at my diet, how much you weight? ya i do a 9-5 and its rough, prepackage man.
I've just started training again so "slow" is pretty much all it is right now! I hope I can remain motivated enough to see results. I'm way too impatient and that's where i fail each time.
Stuggling with food intake? do you mean setting up a good diet? or just what to make in general? Taking any supplements? Take it easy since you just got back over 4 weeks out
hey jono, good to hear ya back into it but dont over do it if your not 100% bud. OZ is badass at the minute, CRAZY busy. Work is busy and personal life even more so. Its that time of year when every weekend is booked out, weeks are non-stop then i've got training on top of that. Its good though, keeps me on my toes. Whats crackin in the UK?
pre-workout drink..2 hr workout..postworkout meal containing BCAAs +glutmaine + wieght gainer shake right after for max absorption then every 2 hrs after protein bars or shakes with eggs or oatmeal and trying to get more red meat into the mix. did this for about a month straight and raised my intensity lvl in the gym and i started filling out pretty nicely.
hey,I have added a wieght gainer that has all the macro-nutrients ive been somewhat missing from my diet.My diet is as follows;protein shake in morning.meal replacement bar, weight gainer shake couple hours later, some oatmeal for mid-morning snack and a piece of fruit, banana or apple, then i will eat a whole food meal when i get a chance..something like tuna out of a can or something similar..
