http://www.rarebreedfitness.com is now LIVE!
I originally started getting SERIOUS about transforming my body when I started training for MMA. Once I cut weight and saw the results, I wanted more to achieve more! I lost a little more than 50 pounds in under six months, but I still didn't feel like I was in shape. I knew I had lost a lot of muscle and now I am working on gaining some back and sculpting my body into a chiseled statue.
Why I Love It:
That feelin' you get after working out is pure ecstasy. It's the natural high of adrenaline and testosterone that makes it all worth it.
How I Stay Motivated:
Team Poynter and the DO WORK Crew are a big source of my motivation. Also, accountability with a buddy is a must. Working out with a partner on a regular basis and keeping each other in check with the right diet and exercise will help you out more than you could ever imagine.
BB Accomplishments:

Goal (Long):
All my life I was a bigger kid. Everyone told me I looked good for my build, but I knew they were just being nice. In December 2008 I deployed to Iraq and started working out on a regular basis. I dropped about 50 lbs. in 6 months, and now I want to achieve more!!! I want to gain more muscle, sculpt my body into a lean mass of 205 pounds, and cut to under 6% bodyfat by 2011. I wanna be recognized as one of Bodybuilding.com's Transformations of the Week! Eventually, I would like to compete, but I gotta start somewhere...
Currently, I am studying to become a certified ISSA Elite Personal Trainer so that when I get out of the Army and go back to school, I will have a part time job that is both financially rewarding, and physically rewarding. I am one of the ONLY authorized CELLUC0R affiliates in Iraq. Contact me for an awesome discount, product information, and FREE samples!
I've known Drew for a long time now. He may say some off the wall S*** but he doesn't goof around in the gym. He'll motivate the hell outta ya, and when he goes to the gym, he gets the job done without complaint. That's inspirational right there.
Laura is a very motivating person. She has made some awesome progress, and it won't be long she'll be competing for sure! She's got a contagious attitude, and very inspirational to fellow soldiers. Keep it up "Lil Dude!!!"
It depends on what mood I'm in. I'll run for 2-3 miles, hit the heavy bag for three 5 minute sessions, elliptical, circuit training... it changes each time.

What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
I personally love doing three 5 minute sessions on the heavy bag. I'm not talking about pop shots either. Full punches and kicks. Change up my combinations, and techniques. I'll rest for a minute between report. It's awesome for endurance.I personally love doing three 5 minute sessions on the heavy bag. I'm not talking about pop shots either. Full punches and kicks. Do you monitor your heart rate while doing cardio?
Yes
Do you use a heart rate monitor? Which one?
Yes, I use a SPORTline wristwatch EKG certified HR monitor.
What heart rate do you aim for while doing cardio? Why?
It's easy to see progress on a daily basis if not weekly basis when you start losing weight. It's because our bodies are not used to the amount of exertion that we are putting it through, so the fat just melts away. Over time, our bodies adapt... very well. You gotta shock the body and...
