I began after sustaining a back injury when i was 14. From there leanred more and more about lifting. Recently i began getting into the eating portion and for the first time am trying to tone out.
Why I Love It:
How I Stay Motivated:
Staying motivated has gotten easier as i have seen the results. In the back of my mind i think of one of my best friend's fathers. At one point in an exercising convo, he said. "when i get up in the morning and don't feel like going for a run, i remind myself that I am doing it for myself, not for my wife, or to be the best but for me and for me to be healthy." on my days i feel like not going to the gym, i think of his words and my butt gets moving.
Also Belonging to a kick ass gym with many professional athletes there keeps me motivated to be like them, big and toned... www.apollongym.com
BB Accomplishments:
None yet, but my gym is sponsoring two amateur shows this year, including one in October i am starting training for.

What johnsom4 Is Up To:
Dec 2, 2009
johnsom4changed Weight from 200 lbs. to 218 lbs., a 18 lb. gain in 394 days
right now i have a lot in the mid section just like most of the country. Im not obese, just hate not seeing anything but a stomach. I want to stay the same weight but tone out.
You are making great progress. I lost over 50 lb’s and dropped my bodyfat from approx. 36% to 10% in only 12 weeks by following the Body for Life program. It’s not super easy but still not so hard that you can’t reach your goals. Challenge yourself and you will get where you want to be and the results will be well worth the effort. Give me a yell if you wish.
