"Time to get back in the gym, improve and grow. I want to put on some serious size this winter."
Personal Info And Background:
Real Name:
John Jordan
Sex:
Male
Age:
27
Location:
Indiana, United States
Occupation:
Systems Analyst

Gym Location:
When I Started:
1998
How I Started:
I started out the same way most people do. I worked out for sports and got addicted to seeing my body change. You set your goals small and when you reach them it's never good enough. Next thing you know you're a bodybuilder.
Why I Love It:
In the bible it says that our physical body does not belong to us, but is given to us by God and is a temple. Since thats the case I vow to return my body healthier, stronger, more powerful, and ripped than I received it. Because our body is a temple we are to glorify God with it and sitting around the house eating potato chips (getting fat), drinking, or doing drugs is not the answer.
How I Stay Motivated:
To get real results, bodybuilding has to take place outside of the gym. You can have more intensity or weight than anyone in history, but if the diet is off, so is your physique. I have made working out my lifestyle. I stay motivated because it is who I am.
BB Accomplishments:
- Working out on bench press, 100
pounds over my body weight.
- Concentrating on my whole body and
not just Chest and Arms.

I am trying to bulk right now, so of course I have some fat and fading abs.
What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
I worked out at my house and did Bench every workout. My routine never changed and I did it everyday. Next thing you know my shoulders started popping and my elbows were starting to get tendonitis.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler did not get big by doing the same routine day in and day out. Ronnie, Jay, and I do some of the same lifts and yet I am not as big as they are. Working out is the easy part. What you do outside the gym (diet) determines your progress in the gym. Also, growing happens when recovering from a workout not during, so if your hitting chest everyday you are not growing, because you are never repairing. Its gonna be cool to see where you take yourself John. BTW, is your GF handling your bodybuilding passion well? She seemed very supportive at the show!
Well, I don't DREAD cutting like some guys do, but I'm still in need of some signicant additional mass if I'm gonna compete with the likes of YOU! Sounds like competing has turned you into a HARDCORE BEAST!
I am putting on size slow but sure, not a lot of extra BF this time! But jeez, give me until late February before I start cutting! I'm having fun now clean massing! You seeing gains again?
I tell you, I am jealous of your position right now. I am ready to eat, while staying at 10% BF is a nice thought, I will leave that one up to you..LOL Nov. is so damn far off yet so close. Stinkin diets!
Yeah that ABA comp was less than impressive. Half assed in all ways. So you aren't doing anything next year? Hopefully if things go my way, I won't be able to do the Indiana Natural in 2010. I'm just really trying to focus in on Nov. I bet you are enjoying the start of off season. Eat some junk food for me the next 7 weeks..lol
Yeah, I'm doing a clean massing vs an outright bulk. Last time I bulked I gained 50 lbs, but only 5 of that was muscle. Ugly ratio! I spent too much of my life being chunky to get fat yet again. But at your age, you can pack on a lot more lean mass instead of fat. Will be cool to see you at 230, and u have time to do it!
I hear you you...Eating and building is good times! You know, more than I want the pro status, I want to deserve the pro status. If that is Saturday, I will be happy, if not I'll keep hammering away at myself!
Yo John, I had a blast this weekend at the show. Thanks for the tid bits you and Layne were showing me with posing. Pictures speak a thousand words, and I know now where to go(or grow). As our first time out, I thought we gave them hell! Cant wait till next show.
Yeah, we'll be there to back up Lance. Be aware they don't allow coaches backstage at ABA. So paint work has to happen out in front of the school. I see you found my favorite of your most muscular shots! Da man's got TRAPS!
You looked very confident onstage, with excellent stage presence. It looked like you had done many comps already. Did your family a get kick out of seeing this side of you?
