I've always been very athletic. I played football, track, and other sports, but, I never really focused on just bodybuilding. I put Sept. of 2006 on my start date because that is when I "got serious". I want to be a role model for my family. It's important to me that my kids form good habits for nutrition and exercise. My wife is looking hotter than ever after 9 years of being married and I want to make sure I don't lead both of us down the the wrong path. I believe it is important for a man to lead his family and this is one of the ways I do that.
Why I Love It:
Working out is a passion. Some people really have to make themselves go to the gym...me, I just love it. Our bodies are the ONLY thing that we really have our entire lives. Take care of it!
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing how other people have transformed their body is motivating. I love to go to the gym. I like being around other people when I work out. Its hard for me to work out alone.

Goal (Long):
My long term goal to to be a solid 190 lbs of lean muscle, with only 6% body fat. I want to make sure my abs are ripped and showing :) I am not too concerned about the amount of weight I am lifting, although, I would like to max on bench for 315, squat 405 lbs. This is my goal for 2008!
I was doing 105's in each hand last night, incline press. Got up to put them away and as I turned to walk toward the rack, I somehow pulled or twisted SOMETHING in my back. Now, I'm dying in pain. Lower back, kinda on the left side of the spine, right were my butt meets my...
Current Workout Routine: (I mix it up a lot to keep my body guessing) Also, I do abs 4-5 days a week and cardio mixed in from time to time, depending of if I'm cutting or bulking.
OMG I was in PAIN from those squats yesterday ... cardio did not happen at my house! Still hurting today but bearable and I can bend to sit! Cardio will get done today and all through the holiday weekend!! Eating is always my downfall ... this weekend will be tough! How about you?
Day 2 totally sucked but went well! I did 1000 squats (bodyweight only) with ShanBL .... took me about 45 min to do the first 500 then a 2 hour break then 55 min to do the last 500. No cheating either ... all deep squats! I'm gonna count that as cardio for day2! lol I feel like the HULK today :) So dreading getting on that treadmill! You didn't say if you did yours??
Got my 25 min in :) ... did you? The oatmeal I eat is Uncle Sam Instant Oatmeal with whole Wheat Flakes & Flaxseed. I'm assuming it's processed since its in little packets?? Should I be eating a different type?
You can do that no prob i'm sure! Yeah it was crazy my trainer kicked my ass and I learned a lot so it def kick started my metabolism. I'm hoping to lose another 3-4% myself but i'm not setting a time limit this time
Hey .. that's great! I would've thought it would take awhile! I'm hanging in there ... need my cutting partner back to make me eat right! I've got a class reunion coming up at the end of the month and a trip to Jamaica later ...

I'm a bad dieter. I have terrible discipline. But I know you're good at dieting. So........ I'll be keeping you in mind when I get weak. And then when I am good for a re-feed, I just might enjoy a bowl of Lucky Charms in bed! Thanks for the inspiration!
