Two Day Split Performed 3 days per week, alternating between pushing &pulling muscles. Aerobic exercise is done 4-6x Wk

Gradual planned and progressive overload with planned variation in routine. 

Adequate rest between workouts.

No near death experiences in the gym allowed -- Joe's gym is RATIONAL and SCIENTIFIC.

joecool0510 Struggling with motivation and patience in rehabbing patellofemoral pain syndrome knee. I wonder if I'll ever run again. :-(

  • Yeah, it's tough. I can workout at night but if I do it too late then I can't sleep. Sometimes I've had a small cup of coffee in the early evening to get me through an evening workout (which sometimes backfires). I just have to stick to firm bedtime (9 pm if I want to be lifting by 5:30am and at work by 7:30am)

joecool0510 Monday mornings at 5:30am are harsh. I'm thinking of doing a Monday night workout (7:30pm). Patellar tendinitis flare up-- ugh!!

fitJeneration Hey there! got ur messsage and really it was a simple matter of no simple sugars, lots of protein and small portions throughout the day. I wrote everything down for about a year and a half. This is where the habit and nutrition met and stuck. Now I can eat watever but stick to the basics. I eat when im starting to feel hungry n stop when im full. Veggies and protein first, last if still hungry, complex carbs.
