I thought it would be fun not to envy anybody else's body and not to be intimidated. It worked!
I wanted to feel better and be healthier. Wanted to look better.
Why I Love It:
It's a great stressbuster, and icebreaker. It's something most people are comfortable asking about, it's so much better than talking about blah blah stuff.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's a great feeling to gain weight (muscle) and lose fat at the same time! I am very, very blessed (and dedicated) to be able to do that.
It's pretty easy, just because I feel so good, and it does so much for confidence and social ife.
BB Accomplishments:
Reduced bodyfat from 21% to 7% (hydrostatic) and weight from 215 to 170.
In the last phase (April to June '08)I went from 13% to 8.5% bodyfat,with only 1 lb. of muscle loss (2-3% is average)
Got abs. Learned how to eat right without starving and which protein supplements work best for me.
He has special appreciation for the body and a terrific attitude. Also, has a FIT body, not just muscular or defined. Kind of miraculous, considering his experiences.
Key thing: do your cardio AFTER weights, to deplete glycogen in muscles, so body has to burn fat for energy. Reach 80% of your max heart rate / 15 minutes of cardio daily or 30 mins. 3x/wk.
Eat unlimited vegetables or low glycemic fruit when...

Thanks man. It's obvious you are working hard! You look fantastic. As for building the intracostals & serratus, I don't have a lot of insight. Just a lot of twisting ab work & leg lifts. Wish I could be of more help.
thanks jamie....and I couldn't agree with you more....why bust your tail in the gym if your not going to follow it up with the proper eating plan so you can look lean and mean!!!
