I grew up in Georgia and was always active in sports. I ran track and was a cheerleader in high school. My senior year of high school my track coach had me lifting weights to get me a stronger for my events. I also was a very avid ballerina starting at the young age of 3. I was so passionate about dance, I picked the University of Georgia to receive my Bachelors Degree in Dance Education. I completed my degree and taught creative movement, ballet and jazz for several years to many different ages ranging from 3 to 50+. This was such an amazing experience getting to take a beginner and watch them get so excited because they learned a new dance move! I took some time off from teaching and noticed I was gaining weight so I joined a gym and got on a diet and training program. I started looking pretty good and had put on some muscle after 3 months of training. I decided to enter into my first competition after talking with Debbie Kruck (the very 1st ever Ms. Fitness title holder). She convinced me to do her NPC sanctioned Level 5 competition the Debbie Kruck Classic in 2006. I placed 3rd. I wasn't satisfied with 3rd place....so I got to work! began training with Shannon Dey and traveling and competing with TEAM BOMBSHELL. Here I am now, 2 years later and I decided to recently enter into the 2008 NPC Nationals. To my surprise, I placed 2nd in my class out of 45 competitors and narrowly missed receiving my pro card by 7 points! Wow what a journey it has been and I can't wait to see what happens in the 2009 season!
Why I Love It:
The sport of competitive figure modeling has challenged me in many ways and has helped me grow as a person as well. Not to mention all the great friends I get to meet that have the same passions as me! Because I have so much fun training and I love it so much, I decided to become a personal trainer starting in 2009. Not only do I have accomplishments and goals, I get to motivate and teach other about personal fitness and look great doing it! What more could a girl ask for?
How I Stay Motivated:
I want to win my competitions. Don't you hate it when you are 2nd place?

Do you sometimes use energy enhancing supplements?
Yes
Which supplements do you take? When do you take them?
I like taking a fat burner in the a.m. to get me going and that is usually when I work out too. If I don't take a fat burner then i have a locarb energy drink pre-workout.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Take it slow at first and don't get impatient with the results. It takes time to build an amazing physique.
Alright time to get started, diet and training has to be on track. Date is getting close. Only 2 and a half months til Nationals. I am starting to diet for contest and I have to be good so I will report here if I was good or bad.
Today, I went for my run and it was very hard b/c...
How is it you don't look veiny? You look really good but some of the people I have had a chat with look so lean you can see all of there veins. Have a good one... and good luck with Nationals
