I have been athletic and in sports my whole life. But got started in bodybuilding 3 years ago. Mostly because of the incredible self confidence I was achiving after a personal issue that affected me.
Why I Love It:
Strength, self confidence, endurance in other sports I participate in,(skiing, indoor soccer)
Everything else comes along with it.
How I Stay Motivated:
Everyone in my life is involved from My husband to my two boys. They are motivators as is my life style, with out weightlifting I would be tired all the time and not able to work on my feet all day.
BB Accomplishments:
3rd in Master Women over 35 at 2005 Wa. St. Ironman
1st in womens open middle weight at 2006 Wa. ST. Ironman
3rd in Womens Open Heavy. Bad idea. I am not a heavy weight. LOL

After the last Ironman I felt very defeeted. I guess I did that to myself. Now I am much more confident and on the road to the Ironman in Oct. 2008. They moved the Venue to my hometown, so I am hoping for a lot of support and a major win. Like the overall. :) This is very achievable for me as I know what I can do with full determination. I will suceeed, and this time will not let the whole "politics" of the show get to me.
Wow this is the first I have done this but just wanted to say that from today on I am thinking about every bite I take. LOL Time to get the fat off for summer and see what all my hard work did for me. I am excited to see my shoulders I put alot of time in to them this winter and hope it paid...
Hi Mary, I only made it to the night show. Call me or email me when you are ready. If you are doing Vancouver we need to get started asap so the journey will be fun for you and easier than you think. But I know what you are capable of and I do see a natural pro in you!!!!!
Thanks for the nice note Mary.... we thought you were the greatest and you looked FANTASTIC!! You should really appreciate the journey you took and know that we could see what a strong, sane and sweet person you are.... much more important than any placing:) Keep charging forward, just like we plan to do... great things are on the horizon!
Oh man, that is rough not making weight..but, I am glad you did the best you could...and you may want to do tested shows, just so there is a fair playing field..nothing worse thank killing yourself getting lean..and then there is an obvious difference in contest prep so to speak lol. I am actually looking at some drug tested NPC shows for next year.:)You look really good and should just keep going! :):)
wierd...anyways that's good, that's the side I'm use to come out of:) yeah I hear ya, but I switched to fish, chicken isn't my best friend anymore,LOL 1 week out!!!!!!!!!
I hear ya there, I'm so excited but sooo nervous all in one!! I will defiantly look for ya back stage, you help me, I help you type thing,LOL We will be nervous together. 1 week and 2 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your pic comment. Not playing anymore, but I did play both, indoor and outdoor. Both had different challanges.. My teammates nicknamed me "the great wall of ches". Good liuck with your comps.
I don't know if you check this often but just wanted to check in to see how prep was going for ya, I feel like giving up but only have 2 more weeks:) I can't wait till its over:)
"A hard six weeks ahead".... ditto, but the more difficult it is, the more satisfying at the end:) I (Rob) am trying harder than ever to get LEAN and hopefully not lose the small amount of muscle I have, it is quite an endeavor. So, I feel your pain and will be with you. Stay strong and fight hard!!
Hi Mary, glad to see you are planning to do the Ironman!! Julie and I are getting ready as well and are looking forward to being the best we can:). I am dieting HARDCORE while Julie is actually eating MORE.... How fair is that? Stay strong, same and sure...great things to come!
ok I need some good tips on cooking tilapia, I was cooking it on my george forman but I'm so tired of that and just want a different flavor, got any???
