How I Started:
I got started this time after I went to my Dr and stood on the scale and it said I was 320lb I was disgusted with letting my self go.I also knew do to my job as a paramedic & firefighter and over 43 I knew I was at risk of a heart attack.
Why I Love It:
I have more energy and drive now than I have had in over 20 years.I also enjoy being able to out do many of my co-workers who are half my age.
How I Stay Motivated:
Stepping on the scale every morning is a big motivator

No Bodybuilding Comp yet.Have been invoved in Martial Arts for 40 yrs And acheived the rank of 6th deg Black Belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate.Completed US Army Ranger School in 3/84 HOOAH

Goal (Long):
I started my weight loss program July/14/2008 @ 320lbs As of today 11 months later I am 263lb.I want to drop to 199lb and be no more than 10% bodyfat.I also want that look that turns peoples heads,

this week workouts seem to be much harder to complete.Same workouts just body feeling abused.On my 7th wk of P90X Muscles feel broke down gonna try to Up the protein maybe I will recover faster.6 more workouts & I go into the recovery phase in which I need really Bad.

The Insanity is just as it says ! Max Cardio conditioning today 40 min non stop! But definition is going up ,Legs shaping up great! Highly recommend after a couple rounds of the "X"!
hey you! i hear you on the diet . . . its tough! but, i see your down 4 pounds since October and you know you added muscle so that is very good. Keep going and and the diet will be there.

Thanks John. I've gone through the p90x a couple of times, and just recently got the p90x plus. I mix in other workout routines now with it, but it's definitely helped me make some huge gains. Keep it up John, and stay in touch.
