2nd in your first show is a good showing. Important thing is that, based on your photos (and hopefully better ones will follow), your conditioning and symmetry looked pretty good. That biceps shot in the mirror is excellent! Good luck in your future competitions.

Congratulations on your victory! Your pics leading up to the show made you look like a winner even before you stepped on stage. Now you should try to get bigger for next time, as I think your frame can support more muscle.

Marcus, you still on schedule for the Oct. 6 show here? I can't make prejudging but I'll be there (with Ferrari?) by evening. Remember: get the legs shredded--that'll be your key to victory.

Steve, you're more ripped than ANY of the entrants in the Teen Nationals. And you seem to be an excellent poser. You need to start competing! Remember that particularly in teen competitions, conditioning is more important than anything else, and you seem to have figured out the secrets.

Now I'm the one who has to apologize for taking so long to answer! The number of competitors was disappointing in all but the light-heavy class, but the quality was good except that none of the teens was really as cut as he should have been. You ought to commit to doing the show next year; in the welter and middleweight classes, all the entrants left with trophies. You're making good progress.

Hey, Alex, will you be attending the Teen Nationals on July 21st? At the Station Square Sheraton. Many of your fellow BB.com members will be competing; I'll be taking photos.

Constructive criticism is the only kind I give, though some competitors are so arrogant they don't accept it. I'm glad you're open-minded. I saw your older lat-spread photo, so I know you've "got back", but I'm still not sure your conditioning is where it needs to be. But you know your body better than anybody else. Our paths seem to have crossed: you went from here to Miami; I did the opposite (though with many stops in between; I graduated from Beach High in '70).

I presume you meant CYSTIC fibrosis in your signature. You should change that and add a link to their website, www.cff.org. I just made a donation to them on your behalf. I hope they make it, and I hope to see you on the Teen Nationals stage in a year or two!

Good luck in the Metropolitan, Nick (as if you need it!). It's always a tough show, but you look about as ready to win it as any teen I've seen. Just nail your conditioning and you'll walk off with the big trophy. What's next, the Teen Nationals?

Marcus, congrats again on your great performance in the Georgia: two nice trophies and the satisfaction of a job well done! Beating 4 out of your 6 older competitors in the Novice sure must have seemed sweet! I'll be sending you some pics later.

Nick, your new most-muscular is fabulous! If the rest of your poses look this good you'll win easily. And great photography too!
