Check out the video on my page: Stevep78's full circuit ab routine, this is where most of the movements I do came from.
Also, I'm not really trying to gain size... so I'm not really the right person to ask in that department... although I do know that Stevep78 (my trainer) has a workout that is specifically designed to add muscle and drop bodyfat... you should ask him about it, and check out his web..www.fitnesspoynters.com !
I have been working out pretty consistently since I was 12. So almost 10 years. I just started taking my diet seriously this past year and it makes a HUGE difference. As for abs, I don't really train them. They get a lot of work from training heavy with squats, deadlifts, and many other exercises that require a lot of stability. When I do decide to train abs I will just do 4 sets of knee raises on a bench.
My tips would be just stick to lean meats and veggies. Keep carbs at a minimum and earlier in the day if your trying to lose fat, and make sure they are good carbs like sweet potatoes and oatmeal :)
LOL, no secret man, I even log everything in my blog and my workout tracker...:D
Anyways I am also chasing my abs, trying to loose that flab of my midsection. I am in the gym for the last 15 years (on and off) so just stick with what you do and you will manage your goals.
One advice everyone benefit from is clean out your diet and do more cardio ;)
Thanks! Right now I'm on the Cyclic Ketogenic Diet. I just started Week 8 today actually, it's going really good, I've noticed MAJOR changes so I'm pretty psyched about what's yet to come since I plan on doing this till at least the end of November, possibly longer. If you're interested to find out more about this diet just search it on here, that's where I got the idea from. I HIGHLY recommend it :)
abs are all about diet and hitting them from all angles! I cant stress eating clean enough, you can do crunches till you are blue in the face but you eat crap your abs will not pop. It took me about 3 months of hard training and clean eating to get my lower abs to show even a little. hope this helps =)
