Background

When I Started: Jul 2010
HOW I STARTED:

I am no stranger to working out, I was in the High School weight room for softball, basketball, and volleyball conditioning throughout the years.

WHY I LOVE IT:

What's not to love about muscle? My bf% displayed is from a scale, so it's not accurate, but I'm hoping it can indicate which direction I'm going. :)

Here we go.  Recently I went through some joyless injuries.  I could do very little after my AC Separation in my shoulder.  I wasn't even allowed to run and any impact whatsoever gave me intense pain.  I gained a lot of weight though since I was trying to heal and wasn't able to do much in terms of fitness.


 I was injured in late July, hoping to be back to a decent place by February (the start of our 2012 roller derby season). 


A plus is that my IT Band issue seems to be almost non-existent now.  I am hoping that it stays that w

This is my working buddy, "Finky".  He/She is an Ornate Horned Frog, basically a stomach with a mouth.  His tank sits on my desk at work, the plants are all real, even the moss, but the skull is fake (aquarium decor).  His diet is the cleanest ever, just crickets, supplemented with calcium and vitamin powder. :)

The last time I saw this number on the scale, it triggered a bad, terrible thing.  This time, I felt the same twinge and "oh crap".  But I am fighting not to go through that again.  Who gains like 10lbs in 2 days!?  140 is a significant number, because that means I am approximately 5lbs from an overweight BMI.  Yes I know BMI sucks, but the Air Force doesnt really know that.  It used to be part of our fitness score, along with push-ups, sit-ups and a 1.5mile run.  Now we can either go by BMI or waist measurements for the scoring, whichever is best.&...
