When I Started:
Feb, 2000
How I Started:
Geez where do I start...I remember picking up a Flex magazine at one of my dad's friends house when I was about 10. I was in total awe and inspiration on how these guys looked with their incredible physiques. I remember trying to lift his barbell...It didn't really move though. lol During my high school football days as a freshman I recall seeing the upper classmen in the field house benching 135lbs (thinking 2 plates was a lot) and I was like dayum I want to get that up too but I was still on the 25 plates. Eventually I got into the grove and started noticing changes going on in my body and strength as I went into track. After high school bodybuilding pretty much faded out until February 2000 when I received my income tax check. I decided to do something positive and that was to obtain a gym membership which something I really wanted to do without realizing that I was investing in my future. I've been there ever since.
Why I Love It:
I get such a positive vibe on working out. Its fun, a great stress reliever, and it benefits me both mentally and physically. I also like working with people who have low self-esteem, anything is possible as long as you commit to it. Phil 4:13
How I Stay Motivated:
Observing the challenges and body transformations that members overcome on this site and my gym inspires me tremendously. I'll also say magazines as well because I may see a particular body part on a person that is well developed and I may want to get the same results. I feed on growth. If I am to fail there is no one to blame but myself, so I keep it 100%. Everything you see on me is all NATURAL, proof of what the body is capable of with a little hard work and a lot of patience. Bodybuilding is mental first, then physical.
BB Accomplishments:
1st place Middleweight and Overall Novice at The Capital of Texas Roundup
I've finally reached the finish line! My last two competitions went fairly well as I placed 2nd in the All South and 3rd at the Lackland. Up until this point I have never competed at back to back events and I have learned a lot from it. To me it was very difficult but I knew that I had...
