I've always been into working out. I truly got started lifting weights/weight training when I was a senior in high school and took a weight lifting class for gym.
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel great/sexy.
How I Stay Motivated:
I print off pictures of myself from my competitions so I remember what I CAN look like. I think I also work out to hear my boyfriend tell me I'm sexy.
BB Accomplishments:
Preparing for another two shows in October of this year...I had put weight on after getting off Active Duty. I finally decided to lose that 15 pounds...and now am down almost 30 and weigh less than I did when I graduated high school 13 years ago!

Progress Pictures
May 19, 2002
Aug 22, 2008
This is what I looked like in May of 2002. This particular picture was for a military calendar titled "Beauties in Boots." I was Miss July. Then I started putting the weight on and you can see if you look through my progress pictures.
Compete in two more figure competitions in the Fall of 2008...and not drive Jon nuts preparing for it!
Goal (Long):
Well, I competed in my first figure competition in 7 years on April 26, 2008 and placed 3rd in the Tall Figure Class out of 6 gals. There were 24 figure competitors all together. Compete in 2 more shows (one INBF and one NPC) in November 2008. I would then like to try to continue competing and go for my pro card.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 15 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%
Upcoming Contest:
2008 Midwest Natural Bodybuilding & Figure Championships
My energy levels this morning are at an absolute minimum. I keep falling asleep at my desk. I have been here an hour already and have yet to get anything done. I've mostely been playing around on the internet...every time I try to accomplish something work related, I start dozing off. I guess...
Thank you so much =] I will undoubtedly have questions when it comes to decorating, so I'll be sure to come find ya for some help!! You're far too kind
Hey, girl.. I just wanted to thank you for the suit advice! I really do appreciate it. I think I may've found myself some cheap plain suits.. and, like you suggested, I'll just get to work on decorating them, myself. You look phenomenal, by the way!!
you said,,,"Thanks for the comments...love your profile pic!! How's your cycle going? "
Thanks for the comment. The cycle is going good, first time to cut and it is an a learning curve. I've made progress, I'm down 10 lbs in 4 weeks. My strength has returned and i'm starting to get good pumps again.. any words of wisdom on cutting and I'm all ears..
That is so great! I am sure you will do wonderfully! I have some serious body fat to lose, so in order to do what I need to do, I am on a comp. diet now (also carb cycling, on my blog) and will do for the next 6 weeks... see where I end up and then hopefully continue to lean through the winter (slowly) for a spring show... I was shocked at how high mybf was (as was my trainer...)so no fall show :(
Glad to hear you are feeling great...what have you been seeing on it?? big weight loss or body fat or both?? are you retaining muscle?? please...i am so curious...
I have a really interesting cycle coming up which especially the last 13 days before the show. Plus the training is unique but I guess used for years by the "Old School" guys.. Bill Grant former Mr America and Mr World is coaching me on this one. He does some things for bodybuilding.com and is the reason I will be competing in my first show in less than a year from when I came back to fitness. www.billgrant.net.
Thank you for the compliment. Where are you competing this fall? I am doing fame nationals in Calgary in October! Train hard and eat well my friend! J~
Yeh, I've done a few of Fords shows and I have nothin against him personally but I had a few issues in the last Ford show I did that left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll explain them to you sometime I see you at the gym. Best of luck with your training!
You'll most likely find that those 3 days off made you stronger. It's good to give your hard working body a break sometimes! Everything is good here, I've been leaning out and I have an itch to do a show again soon but I dont know when. Oh yes the dreaded comp diet! Never fun to start but it makes ya look so damn good!
Hello! How have you been? I've meaning to chat with ya at the club, I've been going in at odd times though. I hope your training has been going great and that you had a great 4th!
