When I Started:
Jul, 2009
How I Started:
I've always been a very active person but never really got into working out until several years ago.
Why I Love It:
Working out is a great stress reliever. I love the feeling of accomplishment when I'm leaving the gym after a workout. I love how healthy I feel also.
How I Stay Motivated:
I remind myself how good I'll feel after I workout and how good I will look if I stick with it.
BB Accomplishments:
I don't have any bodybuilding accomplishments but I have gained a lot of knowledge about nutrition, dieting & working out through research and through sites like this one. That to me is an accomplishment because up until a few months ago, I didn't have much knowledge on those topics at all.

Lose more body fat and fit more comfortably in my clothes.
Goal (Long):
Lose more body fat and feel more comfortable with my body. I lost quite a bit of body fat on Stevep78's Psychotic Fat Burning Plan (www.fitnesspoynters.com). Now I'm doing my own thing and I continue to make progress.
Steve inspires me because he is compassionate about what he does and he has helped and continues to help many people reach their fitness goals. I'm currently on one of his plans and I'm already seeing results after only three weeks! Steve is great at what he does and deserves to be recognized. It's also nice that he takes the time to check in on you to see how you're doing and he responds to e-mails very quickly.
Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
No
Why or why not?
I try not to tell my friends too much because they don't seem to get it. They roll their eyes and tell me I'm crazy for working out and eating the way I do. It's hard not having their support but that's what BodySpace and my boyfriend are for. I try not to tell my friends too much because they don't seem to get it. What supplements do you take immediately before your workout? Why?
No supps; salad w/ grilled chicken for pre-pre workout and a shake closer to workout time.
I'm starting to get a little discouraged as I sit her at work extremely uncomfortable because my shirt is snug. Shouldn't the opposite be happening? Shouldn't my clothes be fitting better? I've been on the PFB for a month now and in the beginning my tops were fitting better but now it...
I have a really hard time losing it as well, so I guess I'm pretty much stuck at the weight I'm at for life. Not the worst thing in the world, but slightly annoying. I heard about Lesnar, It'll be interesting to hear what happened. Apparently they're sending him to the Mayo clinic, so he should be in good hands.
LOL
Yep, another local fighter. I'll have to check out Spike this weekend and see the fights. Maybe I'll tape them cause I got a friend's Birthday party to go to on Saturday. As for the cheeseburgers, they wouldn't make me fat, I've never been able to gain huge amounts of weight, even when I was eating badly. I know, it's a terrible cross to bear. :)
Yes I am! I had like a 6 week break and he said I would benefit from it again, so I'm doing it :) It was a sure way to drop 10# before, so I only have a few more to go so this hopefully will help me pull through. Halloween was very hard, I had no diet that night ha ha
I watched the fight, I was rooting for Rogers since he's local. The trainings going OK. It's getting colder here, which doesn't mix well with a low body fat %. Maybe I should start eating cheeseburgers all the time and put on some "winter weight". :)
No, not carbc ycling anymore. It helped me break a plateau though, so whatever works! I should have done it longer but I wanted to do the Psychotic Plan again and it too, plays with the carbs so I'm good :) I'm 1.5 weeks down, staying away from the scale but things seem firmer ha ha. I want to bust these last few fat pounds! Going to be so hard during the holidays but o well! Glad you feel normal again! ;)
Thanks! Glad to hear that you found a formula that works for you! As usual, I am doing a o.k. on the workouts, but lacking in the eats dept. It is what it is. Your avi is great!
Kristy, I have been doing a bootcamp class 2xs a week at my gym and doing crossfit 2xs a week w/trainer. Love/hate em both!:) What is your new routine?? Do share!
I think Kettlebells are great for a general workout and anybody who wants to improve their overall fitness level. It's just that I never get a "muscle" workout with them, it's more of a cardio workout. I think freeweights and spin class to take care of the muscles and cardio respectively, is going to be the way to go for me.
I'm doing OK on the plan. I notice that when I workout in the late afternoon, my 3PM meal tends to make my stomach upset. I may have to remove as much fat from that meal as possible to get it to digest faster.
It's good to hear that your still doing well. I went back to Kettlebells this week, but I may give it up entirely and stick with free weights starting in November.
