I was the type of person that would sit on the couch and watch tv all day with a bag of oreos in my lap. I was very unfit and out of shape. I couldnt even jog the distance of our driveway without becoming out of breath.
I joined the Marine Corps when I was 18. I did 5 years on active duty and every time I had to do exercise I still hated it. After bootcamp I went back into my same eating habits and throughout the years added beer and cigarets to the diet!! Yuck! I gained 30 lbs in the process. When I was in Iraq I went to the gym consistantly and lost all of the weight, after which I went right back into my old habits.
About a year ago I started getting back into the gym when I noticed I put on a little weight. Thats when it dawned on me that if you want to stay in shape you have to make a lifestyle choice not a temporary change! I have been working out consistantly for over a year now!
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel so much better. I quit smoking and drinking and replaced cardio workouts as my stress reliever, lol. Whenever I'm upset or bored I just do cardio for 30-45 minutes. It's a lot healthier!
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing the results from the hard work I've put in at the gym, and buying new form fitting clothes!
Trying new recipes everyday helps me stay motivated to eat well and healthy. I cut out ALL fast food and instead create new ways to get the same type of foods by making them myself when craving it.

I was a little over 140 lbs. This was taken 10 weeks ago I'm so imbarrased posting this but here ya go!
Its going well, but I haven't lifted in 2 days and prolly won't lift today. Truth is I need a kick up the backside!! Too easy to just take "days off" I guess
Hey Jenn cheers for accepting, you’re looking amazing in your pics; your hard works paid off, hope you keep up the great work. Good luck continuing to reach all your future goals, happy training :O)
Well, what with the hernia, I can't lift (or even pilot a Suzuki SV650s), so I am having to work on "training" my mouth and stomach. It's been several weeks since I've exercised and my clothes do fit tighter, but I've only gone up two pounds, luckily. Reading about your past on your Profile does a body good!
