When I Started:
How I Started:
Taught aerobics in the 80's and started with weights back then to add some muscle size and loved how my body responded! Took a few years (too many years) off lifting to raise kids and just back past 6 months and loving it!
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of control of my body, especially at an age where so many women feel like they have lost that control!
I love when people tell me I look MANY years younger than I really am.
Also it is so rewarding to watch my children (19 and 16) realize the importance of exercise and making it a priority in their lives as they reach adulthood.
How I Stay Motivated:
Look in the mirror!
If I like it, I keep going, if I don't I change what I am doing!
BB Accomplishments:
When my son said to me recently:
"Mom, you are jacked!!"
I have muscles!

Hey sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I think it would be better if we chatted in a PM instead because your question is a bit complex to discuss this way. I'll do that soon for now though have a great day!
Far too many lunges, Julie, and a few too many squats! I mixed some back exercises in there as well. I've been working on my pull-ups like crazy. I also finished with a bunch of step ups on my backyard porch while letting the dog out. Lol
Thanks!! Yea those pics got me thinking a little and I decided my couldn't look like that anymore! So hows your progress going? Getting close to those 5 pounds?
Thanks for the compliment. I don't know why so many people our age just let themselves go waist, it's not all that difficult to stay in shape. I always say, it's no wonder the whole world hates us (the US), because we're such a bunch of slobs. Great to know at least two of us aren't among them.
