I did it...well almost, measured 10.6% BF this morning! Starting to see some dimples in my abs!
Goal (Long):
Want to maintain a fit lifestyle. I want it to be a part of me to eat well, maintain a healthy body weight, body fat, and see abs. I want to get back on stage in my 40's... hopefully '09 will be the year!
40 is not too late. I had a friend who didn't get into powerlifting until his 60s. By the time he was 60 he was benching 285lb and deadlifting 415lb. There are a lot of guys here in there 30s who can't do that. So you are certainly young enough!
Honor to have you as a friend:). No time like the present to make a run back to the stage and have your BEST showing ever!! Keep accomplishing those goals, the world is at your feet:)
Thanks for the add and the great comments. Keeping the fire is the easy part. Keeping my body online and firing on all 8 cylinders is a little harder. Guessing you are close to my age. I suspect you are hitting your peak condition if you plan on getting on stage soon!
I competed in Tulsa twice last month. NPC Oklahoma and Battle of the Bodies. Might try some of the arkansas shows next year, but I'm finished for this year. Actually starting my off-season work this week. Are you going to compete this year?
We look like a lot of retailers on the outside, but are just entering a huge international expansion phase... we'll still be around when the economy comes back I'm sure.
Going on year 6, and loving it. I'm a professional college kid (in the good sense. I DO work hard at what I do...) Actually just did the reverse and went from NYC to Philly haha.
