Picked up my first straight bar around the age of 9 or 10. Did 1 x 10 curls every night before a bath, developed what I like to call a "mountain peaks" for biceps. I had the biggest biceps in elementary school :). A later on has-been high school prep athlete didn't really get into actually weight-lifting until my Jr. yr of high school but only because I had to for sports. Things were kind of off and on thereafter until I noticed my bestfriend/college roomate getting HUGE all of a sudden so I decided to get into it and attempt to make it a mainstay :-) ... we'll see how far this goes.
Why I Love It:
I love the pump!
How I Stay Motivated:
I injured a shoulder playing high school f-ball my Sr. year, ended up having surgery. Shoulder never reached 100% even 6 years later. It somehow motivates me to keep on going to the gym (dont ask how).. but... yea :-)
BB Accomplishments:
Going from 178 lbs to 195 lbs in a matter of 4 1/2 months
Training is good. I got my old schedule back with a whole bunch of rest time so it seems alright. Just trying to get some lifts up and some other craziness.
Hell, the diets even good and consistent even though I wish it were less shakes and more food. There's a problem with nutrient density at work though.
What you got going on training/diet/supplement wise yourself?
A strength building phase over a 5 day split? That sounds pretty interesting. I've been saying I was going to spend all of next year just working on strength as I sure need to.
How's what you're doing working out for you?
Eating every few hours but attempting to stay clean. Eh, you'll get it over time but it'll take a while. I wish it were something people could fix overnight but eh, then everyone would be in shape and all of that good stuff.
Thanks for the add. You've been making good progress and got some pretty good size on you. Whats your training and diet like?
I understand your sentiments exactly with just wanting to get big.
