When I Started:
Sep, 2007
How I Started:
Well, I am engaged to a girl who likes to stay in shape, eats healthy, goes to the gym, etc., and I realized that I needed to improve my body if only to be at the same fitness level than she is...
Why I Love It:
Although I've been doing this for a short time, I have already got some good comments from family and friends, as well as my girlfriend. That's great for one's self-steem...!!!
How I Stay Motivated:
By getting these compliments in spite of the little progress that I've reached so far... People can see the difference... I also get motivation from watching great profiles here, at bodybuilding.com
BB Accomplishments:
Up to this point, feeling better and healthier. Now I can say it's become part of my life.
At last I started to drop BF...! Now at 17%, but my goal is 10. I know I can do it!
Goal (Long):
Being a 30+ guy, I've managed to get in better shape than I was when in my 20's. That's something that motivates me to take it to a higher level, and become somebody who people watch and think for themselves: "That guy must workout..."
Piero is the living proof that we can get excellent results, even when we are around 35, and the task is accomplished with the same tools: hard work, diet, perseverance, discipline. And he has class while getting in an enviable athletic condition... You rock, mate...!!!
He has not only got a great physique, but also kept on the right track for a long time, showing that bb can be an important part of a healthy lifestyle, while not the only thing in life. His blogs are very well structured and full of reasonable arguments, also showing that intelligence, determination and persistence are unavoidable characteristics of a successful bodybuilder.
there is no reason to get too fat when bulking up if you watch your calorie intake. im getting a little soft but that is what cardio was invented for :)
Thanks G, about 90% healed but scared to push it too much. Easing into lifts again and hoping to get back on track within a week or two. Got a charity run next week so got to boost the fitness!
Good news on the BF drop and wedding date. How's the diet stacking up and looks like you have boosted training to 6 weeks..you are gonna be a beast soon!
Thanks for the add/comment George! You're doing great, don't ever doubt yourself. I can definately see some shape coming along. Always remember, it's a lifestyle, eating healthy and religously working out. If it happened overnight, EVERYONE would be fit! Keep at it, and good luck!
Thanks big G, really appreciate it. Have set my training to max after that break. My only problem is trying to contain diet, been a bit slack this week and have a serious corn chip addiction lol! How have you been going?
Its a highway to hell haha..jokes! Definitely fired back at the gym and working towards gaining at least another 7lbs fast. Hope you are having a great weekend.
Haha thanks bud! I've learnt alot from this cut... For my next cut it will be at its optimum and I doubt I'll lose any muscle :D can't wait, but it will be a few years away. 20 days out dude! Hope all goes well buddy.
