Fit Status:
What's this I see? A lovely vein reappearing in my right shoulder? Wahoo!!
I have always been very athletic and active. Dabbled with a few weights off and on over the past 15 years...but nothing serious. Finally this past March 2009 I decided it was time to do something about the physique I was no longer paying attention to...and with the support and inspiration of two women who I love and are so grateful for - Ocean Bloom and Jenny Hendershott - they pointed me in the right direction and believed in me 110%.
Why I Love It:
I love the energy that I get from it, the way I feel physically and mentally. I like being strong and having muscle!! I love that I can create and transform my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am motivated by what I learn every time I step foot in the gym...every change that I see in my body - mentally, physically, emotionally - and the satisfaction I get from all my hard work and dedication...knowing that I can pass all of this on to educate and inspire others to live a healthier lifestyle inside and out!
BB Accomplishments:
I trained for three months 7 days a week and ate a ridiculously clean diet to compete in July 2009. I kept the ball rolling and hit it hard for another three months taking me to another figure competition where I placed 6th. The best is yet to come!!!

Goal (Long):
I set a goal to transform my body and lifestyle to compete in a figure competition in 2009. I achieved that goal by training hard for 3 months and competing in July 2009. Feeling like I couldn't stop there....I hit it hard and trained for another 3 months, competing in another show November 14th and placing 6th.
My next competition is April 17th, 2010. The best is yet to be. I am living proof that anyone can do what ever they set their mind to.
I am curious to hear what people think they should be consuming for daily sodium. I myself try to stay away from anything with added salt...and never add any to my food either.
I think a good guideline is nothing more than 750 mg a day. ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN!!! Unless you like to...
Here is the plan for Week 1 of 20. Ease myself back in after 2 weeks of taking it easy!! Ha!
I find that doing one body part a day is very effective....I can hit that part HARD and it has a week for recovery. Plus with the triple setting it is intense and keeps my heart rate up...
