I used exercise to relieve stress around exam time in my senior year of high school. I noticed how quickly my body responded to the resistance training, so I decided to enter my first comp (FAME Worlds 2005) and take it from there.
Why I Love It:
It gives me something to be passionate about. Something to look forward to when I wake up in the morning. And it has really expanded my social circle.
How I Stay Motivated:
Competing and knowing that as hard as I'm working, there's always someone out there working harder, and everytime I stop, someone who is continuing will catch up to me.

7% bodyfat. Ya, you heard me :-) It's gonna happen again....
Goal (Long):
I'm sick of coming in first because there are no female juniors to compete against, and I'm sick of coming in last because I don't yet have the muscular maturity or mass to go against novice women.
I will push myself as hard as I need to in the gym, and eat as many chickens as I need to in the kitchen in order to get to where I want to go.
I started working with Layne Norton at 20 weeks out. It was my birthday present to myself. I competed last year in the same show I plan on doing this year, and I brought a pretty good package: 5"7, 138, ~10% bodyfat. But I came in last, and was excrutiatingly disappointed because I'd taken...
I saw your article on creatine on the bb website. I need help cause my workout partner is adamant that I shouldn't take creatine. I am a professional womens full contact football player and i need to get cut and lean and buff but not bulky...any advice? thanks, Stacy
Jamie where are yuou living now? Are you still in Toronto. I am still in Oshawa freezing you know November in Canada. Buling to 221lbs. TRime to get bigger. What are your goals?
Thanks for the comment, I am going to try to take time whenever I find the chance to keep an updated journal entry of my training, I loved all your video journaling, I wish I had a camera to do that. You seem like someone I'd enjoy working out with, I get sick of all the girls that dont want to lift heavy weights.
Hey, I saw your progress and just wanted to let you know that you're doing an amazing job!! You should be very proud of yourself and the progress you've made. Congratulations!
What evolution Jaime! Cool that you have in order to compete. Continuing in this way be able to gain further their goals. I'll be pulling. Have a great week. Kisses
