How I Started:
I was sick and tired of being fat and out of shape. I picked up a "Muscle & Fitness" magazine and started working toward losing body fat. Now that I am looking and feeling better I have decided to add muscle mass and to hopefully compete soon.
Why I Love It:
It is the feeling I get, the satisfaction, from working hard toward real goals with real benefits and real results. If you keep at it and always push yourself you can achieve anything.
How I Stay Motivated:

I am now able, at 170 lbs, to do around ten free hang pull-ups

After I lost 45 lbs in bodyfat but before the weight lifting began in earnest.
Not sure if I am doing the lat spread correctly. Maybe my lats just aren't as big as I thought they were.

Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
Frank Zane in his hayday. He has a natural look while still being ripped and impressive. Great definition and proportion.
Have you ever had a lifting injury?
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
trying to lift to much weight. Put the ego aside, drop the weight, focus on form!
