I've been lifting weights on and off for track since I was 16. Nothing serious at all in High School. In college the lifts were centered around power movements and olympic lifts (i.e. power clean, snatch, etc.) to develop explosiveness. I followed my workout programs that were given to me and never lifted like a bodybuilder until recently. Unless I'm competing there really is no need for split jerks and hang cleans so now I have decided to lift like a bodybuilder and see where it takes me.
Why I Love It:
I can't explain why, but I'm addicted to lifting weights. Its just a great feeling when the muscles start to burn and the pump is addicting. And I hate off days. I used to sneak into the gym at night and lift extra after my initial practice and weight session for track was over. I wanted to clean more, bench more, squat more. I probably was overtraining but oh well. Its something I don't see myself ever getting tired of or burnt out with. So until I can't lift even the lightest dumbbell I think you will always be able to find me in the gym 5 times a week.
How I Stay Motivated:
I need to lift to stay active otherwise I'll probably go insane! It doesn't take much to stay motivated really, I've been an active athletic person my whole life so its just second nature to want to stay in shape.
BB Accomplishments:
None yet but I have plans...

When people ask me what I'm on or what do I take I tell em, I'm on my grind and I take one rep at a time
