Consistency is key!
The hardest part for me is to get up off of the couch and get out the door to the gym. I try to stay as consistent as possible, when it hits 8:00 I know it is time to be heading out the door, I don't give myself a choice. Once I get to the gym and get going I feel great and know it is worth it. It used to be that if I missed a day going to the gym, the whole week would be the same for some reason. It was so easy to fall off the tracks, but I think I am finally to the point where I don't let one little mishap ruin my motivation. I just keep trucking along!
I always make sure that I do a 10-15 minute cardio warmup with jogging on the treadmill.
I am learning that strength training is my friend, for some reason so many girls think cardio, cardio, cardio is all they need, and I used to think the same way. Boy was I wrong!
After I do my little warmup I alternate training days between, legs, arms, back/chest.
I follow each strength workout with 30 more minutes of cardio, either jogging or the stair stepper.
I noticed that when I follow through with my goals each week I start to see great results, and that is more motivating than anything else out there! :)

Eating clean...for the most part ;)
I stopped worrying about dieting or trying to newest weirdest way to "lose weight" I have tried to cut out packaged foods and only eat natural things. I am not on an extreme diet, but I do watch my calorie intake and make sure that I am eating foods that will keep me satisfied and give my body the energy and nutrition that it needs! I have tried so many different diets and always felt starved, I am learning how to eat clean and healthy and not go hungry!
Although I am not saying that I don't allow myself some good food here and there, maybe once a week if I am out with family or friends I am not so strict on myself...but the next day I am right back at it!

Going after a better me!
Looking at fitness competitors and others who are fit can be a good way to get motivated. But for me what has finally started working is to quit trying to look like someone else and to try to be best me that I can. Of course seeing other success stories is great but I want to be my own success story. I stopped worrying about what someone else did to get fit or how long it took someone else to get fit, I am just simply on my own journey. I stopped looking for others to motivate me and started motivating myself and pushing myself!
