Background

When I Started: May 2010
HOW I STARTED:

I realized I want to watch my Daughter graduate high school and see her grow up. I decided to quit smoking and get myself in shape. Also my wife has worked out most of her adult life, and she just started training for a show; then I looked at myself in the mirror....lol.

WHY I LOVE IT:

That sore feeling the day after a good workout, barely being able to walk out of the gym feels oh so good. The added energy in every day life is great.

Progress!

59 days ago I started going to the gym.  I remember very clearly on my first day I tried to do a pull up, sadly I could not even do one.  Today, 59 days later I just did 4 sets of 10.  It is the most awesome feeling seeing the progress and having a feeling of accomplishment.

Rest Days

Rest day's bug the crap out of me.  I want to be in the gym, I have goals to reach and rest days seem to get in the way of reaching those goals.  Physically it makes sense to rest, but mentally I want to be in the gym.  At least I can get back in there tomorrow:)

Legs

I hate leg days.  Today I started a new leg routine, I thought I was going to puke half way through.  I guess that when you know you are getting a good workout.  I was supposed to do staight leg deads for my hamstrings, but I could get the form right.  Form seems to be the toughest thing to get down.
