When I Started:
Dec, 2007
How I Started:
I was always the fat kid growing up in school who was always picked on and called names, at one stage I was known as the “Fat ugly cactus” due to my weight and acne problem during my high school year.
So in my last year of senior high school I decided wanted to make a change and not be embarrassed by the photo of myself in the year book and set a goal to loose as much weight as possible and gain confidence in my appearance.
I managed to drop about 13kgs (28 lbs) that year but did it the wrong way by doing heaps of cardio exercise and not eating.
Lucky for me I managed to keep my weight stagnant at about 68kgs (150 lbs) for about 5 years and being 1.77m (5FT 10in) in height, it kept me in the healthy range of the BMI chart so I wasn’t too worried about my weight at the time.
In 2006 I let myself go in terms of my weight.
Trying to manage work, part time study in collage doing an MBA and a having a relationship saw me make any excuse for not doing any sporting activity which lead me to gain about 52kgs (127 lbs) from 68kgs (150 lbs) to 120kgs (264 lbs) that year.
In the end of 2007 my fiancé broke up with me and one of her many reasons was that she wasn’t too happy on how I looked physically and wasn’t attracted to me anymore (It’s funny but when you ask your partner on how we look they will always say “You look fine” but when dooms day come they say the opposite).
As a new years resolution for 2008 I decided I wanted to get back in shape and loose the weight I gained and get into the best shape of my life.
I joined a gym and lucky enough met an old friend who helped me stay focused and taught me about weight lifting and dieting along the way.
I managed to drop about 8kgs (17.8 lbs) a month and in about 5 months I was down to 80kgs (176 lbs).
It seemed I was stuck at about the 80kgs (176 lbs) mark and couldn’t drop anymore weight but during the Christmas holidays I put back on another 5-6kgs (13 lbs).
My main goal at the moment is to have a Men’s Health cover body (which everyone wants) and maintain a healthy life style for the rest of my life and for the next 12 weeks I want to reduce my body fat by another 10% (currently at 21%) if possible by dieting and using a number of supplement which includes Hydroxycut Hardcore and compete in a number of competitions in the next 6-12months.
P.S sorry for the boring story!!

How I Stay Motivated:
Putting up a photo of myself at my heaviest so when I wake up I tell myself I never want to be that person again.
