How I Started:
I had been watching old Hercules (Steve Reeves) movies and wanted to look muscular and strong like he did. Then I got to see the wrestling match between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant. I saw Hulk's size and figured that I could look like both of them if I worked out. I didn't have money for a gym, I was 13, so I used whatever I could find. Tires, picnic benches, railroad ties. My oldest sister bought me a DP 110lbs weight set for Christmas. After that I never stopped.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it gives me the feeling that I am and can work toward a goal that will give me more benefit than any amount of money.
How I Stay Motivated:
The best way I can explain how I stay motivated it to say: IT'S JUST IN MY BLOOD!!!

LAST YEAR I HAD A LIVER TRANSPLANT BECAUSE OF LIVER CANCER. MY GOAL IS MAINTAIN A LEVEL OF HEALTH AND STRENGTH THAT WILL HELP MY BODY TO FUNCTION WELL AND TO KEEP MY NEW LIVER HEALTHY ALSO.

BECAUSE THE MOVEMENT PLACES UNNECESSARY STRESS ON THE SHOULDER JOINTS.

I PREFER TO USE THE BASIC 3 X 10 BECAUSE IT WORKS BEST FOR MY BODY TYPE.

ON AVERAGE I REST ANYWHERE FROM 1.5 TO 2.5 MINUTES.
I VARY THE TIME BECAUSE SOME MUSCLE GROUPS TAKE A LITTLE LONGER TO RECOVER.
